👨💻 What I'm working on
We're ramping up the content engine!
The big effort this month for my (small) team and me was ramping up our production so we can ship you more Cloud Native content:
- The podcast will now release episodes weekly, which is double our previous release cadence. I'm now recording shorter episodes (offline) on specific topics, so you'll see those episodes mixed in with our YouTube Live guest episodes.
- More YouTube upload releases. Starting this week, I'm creating YouTube content more often. Previously, I was mostly just doing the weekly live streams, but I didn't upload pre-recorded videos, clips, and shorts that much. We're optimizing our creative pipeline so I can get videos to you more often.
So these efforts lead to what's new in just the last 7 days:
🗓️ What's new this week
I made a DockerCon 2023 announcements video. 16 minutes of giving my take on the keynote headlines.
🔴 Live show: Learning Docker and Kubernetes Q&A (Ep 239)
Thursday I answered questions related to my courses: Docker Mastery, Kubernetes Mastery, Docker for Node.js, and Swarm Mastery. If you missed it, remember I do it every month, so click the 🔔 on my channel and tell it "always" so you don't get left out!

Ep 143: AWS Lambda Containers
Today, we released another podcast episode. Nirmal and I talked with Ken Collins, AWS Serverless Hero and Principal Engineer at Custom Ink. We talked about all things Lambda and dug into the details of running containers in serverless.
Ken and I have known each other for probably 15 years in the local tech scene in Virginia. And I've always respected him for being a leader in that community, always wanting to talk at a meetup or help in some way.
So when he reached out wanting to talk about his company using containers on AWS Lambda, it was an easy sell for me because I knew it would be a great show. I learned some of the updates Lambda has had over the years, particularly when it comes to container workflows.
We had some great audience questions and no shortage of topics around using modern Lambda and serverless.
I hope you enjoy it.
The recording of the complete Live show from Sep 7, 2023 is on YouTube (Ep. 233).
🗓 Next big thing️
Two weeks until KubeCon. Will I see you there? Join us in our Discord server #conferences channel and we'll organize a meetup IRL and take a selfie 🤳
